Mr. Rajesh Kundan, I.R.S. (Income Tax) is the Chief Vigilance Officer. He is equivalent in the rank and status to a functional Director of the Board. He joined RCF on 7th August, 2010. He is a senior IRS Officer in the rank of Commissioner of Income-Tax, which is equivalent to the Joint Secretary to the Government of India. He studied in St. Stephen’s college Delhi and started his career by joining academics as lecturer in Delhi University. In his mid career, he did his MBA with specialization in HRM from Birmingham University, U.K.
He joined IRS in the year 1988. During his career as IRS for over two decades, he held various positions starting from Assistant Commissioner Income Tax to Commissioner of Income Tax in the different fields and locations in the Income-Tax Department. He also had a short tenure as Private Secretary to Minister of State for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. He has a rich experience in investigation of economic offences, international taxation and administration. He has been the best surrogate trainer in the department. The assessment order which he passed in the case of Reliance Industries Limited was considered as one of the best order in India, which has also been published by CBDT, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, New Delhi in it’s publication named “Let us Share”.
Mr. Kundan is an inherent social worker. He has a deep interest and compassion to work for the upliftment of down trodden and poor people. He has been instrumental in opening of charitable Public Library in Patna, Bihar. He has also pioneered and established a fully charitable primary school in Bihar for educating children deprived of education for want of facilities, where 200 pupils are being provided with all the needs of life and education.
